24-year-old righthander Pinson L. "Phil" McCullough was the last of four pitchers used by the Senators in a 13-4 drubbing by the Red Sox at Griffith Stadium on Wednesday, April 22, 1942 (a young Early Wynn was Washington's starter that day but failed to get out of the first inning). McCullough tossed three mop-up innings in what proved to be his only major league appearance. The autographed photo is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Bill Littman.
