23-year-old rookie Harold David "Whitey" Ock was Brooklyn's starting catcher in the second game of a season-ending doubleheader against the Phillies at Ebbets Field on Sunday, September 29, 1935. The game ended in a 4-4 tie and it proved to be Ock's only big league appearance.
