On Saturday, September 25, 1926, 19-year-old southpaw Ed Clough took the mound at the Polo Grounds for Rogers Hornsby's St. Louis Cardinals and threw two inning of relief. Clough faced 15 batters and allowed six runs on five hits, three walks and a hit batsman. It was his last appearance in the major leagues.
