On Sunday, July 3, 1960, 22-year-old lefthander Ray Blemker was the fourth and final pitcher used by Bob Elliott's Kansas City Athletics in a 13-2 loss to the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Blemker got five outs in what was to be his only major league appearance.
